Pest control in Miami that starts with a flashlight, not a fogger.
We do ant control, bee removal, roach control and bed bug treatment for Miami homes, apartments and small businesses. Nothing else. We find where the pest nests and feeds and we treat that spot. If it needs a second visit, the same one of us comes back for it. You get a price after we've looked, never off a phone guess.
Why the first thing out of the truck is a flashlight
Most bad pest jobs in Miami fail the same way. Somebody walks in, sees roaches on the kitchen floor, sprays the floor, and leaves. The roaches were never living on the floor. They were living in the hinge of the cabinet door above the dishwasher, behind the kick plate, inside the motor housing of the fridge. The floor spray kills the ones that were out walking and tells the rest to stay put.
So the first twenty to forty minutes of a visit are spent looking. Flashlight into the hinges. Mirror behind the stove. A glue monitor under the sink if we need to know by next week whether the numbers are dropping. For ants we follow the trail back until it goes into a wall void, a slab crack or a mulch bed. For bees we find the entrance and figure out how deep the comb runs. For bed bugs we pull the fitted sheet and go seam by seam along the mattress piping, the box spring corners and the screw holes in the bed frame.
That inspection is what the treatment is built on, and it is also why we only handle four pests. Ant control, bee removal, roach control and bed bug treatment each have their own nesting habits in this climate, and we would rather know those four cold than know twenty a little. Termites, rodents, mosquitoes and lawn grubs go to someone who does them every day.
Miami makes this harder than most places. Humidity sits high for months, mulch beds stay damp against stucco, palms drop boots that hold water and insects, and the rainy season pushes ants and American roaches indoors in a matter of days. A treatment that ignores where the pest is coming from just buys a quiet week.
Ant control, bee removal, roach control and bed bug treatment in Miami
Each one gets its own method, its own visit pattern and its own price basis. Nothing here is a fixed sticker price, because the job depends on what the inspection finds. What each quote is built on is written next to the pest, so you know before we arrive what moves the number.
- 01 Ant control Ghost ants, white-footed ants, big-headed ants, fire ants in the lawn, carpenter ants in wet wood. Non-repellent perimeter and slow bait. Quoted after inspection, by property size and species.
- 02 Bee control & removal Swarms on palms and fences, colonies in soffits, walls and irrigation boxes. Live relocation where practical, comb cut out when it is built in. Quoted on site, by colony location, height and wall access.
- 03 Roach control German roaches in kitchens and bathrooms, American and smokybrown roaches from drains and attics. Gel bait plus growth regulator, two visits about 14 days apart. Quoted per home, follow-up included.
- 04 Bed bug treatment Seam-by-seam bed bug inspection, then targeted treatment of beds, furniture and baseboards, encasements and a scheduled follow-up. Quoted only after inspection, by rooms and beds affected.
“One visit for roaches is a sales pitch. Two, about two weeks apart, is a treatment.”
The numbers our method is built on
Four rules we work every job by. Each one is written on your service ticket, so you can hold us to it.
Ants, bees, roaches, bed bugs. Anything else gets a referral, not a guess.
The first knocks the population down. The second catches what hatched from eggs the bait never reached.
Roughly how long a German roach egg case takes to hatch in a warm Miami kitchen.
A bug bomb drives German roaches deeper into the walls. We don't carry them.
Figures describe our own standard method. The exact visit plan for your job is written on the service ticket.
From the phone call to the follow-up
We're a small crew working out of 14600 Buchanan St in Miami. No call center in the middle. Call 786-849-8713 and you get the person who's coming out, and the same technician comes back for the follow-up. Who that is and what's in the truck is on the about page. Here is what happens after you call, and roughly when.
-
You call or send a photo
Same day if we can. Tell us what you saw and where. A clear photo of the bug, the trail or the mattress seam lets us bring the right kit the first time.
-
Inspection on site
Usually within a few days of the call, sooner for bees near a door. Twenty to forty minutes with a flashlight. We show you what we find before anything gets treated.
-
Quote, then treatment
You get the price and the visit plan on the spot. Say yes and we treat that day where the product allows. Say no and that's the end of it. If the inspection itself carries a charge, we tell you on the phone before we drive out.
-
Follow-up visit
About 14 days later for German roaches. Two weeks or so for bed bugs. Ants and bees depend on what we found, and the ticket says which.
-
Ticket in your hand
Products used, where they went, what is covered and for how long. Written job by job, so there is nothing vague to argue about later.
What we won't do, and the reason for each
Short list. Every item on it is something a cheaper job does that makes the next job bigger.
-
Bug-bomb or fog a kitchen for German roaches.
Foggers scatter German roaches into wall voids and neighboring units, which is how one apartment becomes a building. Gel bait in the hinges and harborage plus an insect growth regulator stops the breeding instead.
-
Spray repellent on an ant trail.
Spray a ghost ant trail with something off the shelf and you'll have four colonies by Friday. Repellent makes the colony bud into new nests. Non-repellent and slow bait get carried back to the queen.
-
Seal bee comb inside a wall and walk away.
Comb left in a Miami wall melts in August, stains drywall and pulls in roaches and wax moths. If a colony is built in, the comb comes out.
-
Quote a bed bug job over the phone.
Nobody knows the scope until the mattress seams, the box spring and the headboard have been looked at. Send a photo of the seam and we'll tell you what we see.
-
Promise you'll be pest-free forever.
Miami has bugs and always will. What is covered, and for how long, is written on your service ticket for that specific job.
“A swarm hanging off a palm frond is usually gone in a day or two. A colony in your soffit is not, and it gets bigger.”
The questions people ask before they book
Why can't you give me a price on the phone?
Because a two-bedroom condo with roaches in one cabinet and a house with roaches coming up three drains are different jobs, and both callers describe them the same way. What moves the price is written on the services page for each pest. You'll have the number before any treatment starts.
Do I have to leave the house during treatment?
For gel bait and ant bait, generally no. Baseboard and furniture treatment for bed bugs means keeping people and pets out of the treated rooms until it dries, usually a few hours. The technician tells you the exact time for the products used on your job.
I rent an apartment. Can you still help with roaches?
Yes. Apartments are where German roaches turn up most in Miami, and the method is the same gel bait and growth regulator. One catch: if the unit next door is untreated, German roaches walk back through the plumbing chases. We'll tell you straight if what we see points to a building problem your landlord needs to know about.
Who is this not for?
Anyone who wants the whole house sprayed monthly whether there's a problem or not. Anyone with termites, rats or mosquitoes, which we don't handle. We'd rather send you elsewhere than sell you something we don't do.
Tell us what you're seeing and where
Four or five lines is enough. Which pest, which room, how long it's been going on. We'll call you back to set up the inspection. Faster still, call 786-849-8713.
